Biography

Nader Bahsoun is a 28-year-old visual artist from Sour in the south of Lebanon whose artistic pursuits span across photography, filmmaking, and drawing.

After being commissioned and exhibiting his project A la recherche de Beirut, as part of the group exhibition Lumière du Liban at the Institut du Monde Arabe (Paris 2021), he was rewarded with the Prince Claus Seed Award (Amsterdam) the same year. Nader has since then worked on various projects with different collaborators, in the fields of cinema, photography and performing arts.

Interested in various artistic mediums, Nader views his art as a form of meditation and a necessary means of expression, delving into the human drama, both comic and tragic. He is currently immersed in the world of documentary filmmaking and photography, with a specific focus on reweaving fragmented histories and human narratives.
