Womena :
Everything Has Changed
Filmed across Jeddah and Beirut, this docu-series explores the region’s evolving cultural landscapes through music, identity, and creative expression. Full videography and lighting were executed in collaboration with Womena’s creative team, with responsibilities spanning camera operation, on-location lighting setups, and visual direction. Filming took place in varied settings—from underground studios to public spaces—demanding adaptability, precise communication, and a strong focus on mood and narrative continuity.
The Return of Diaspora
Beirut – 2023
This series looks at the ways in which our lives have changed over the last decade, the realities we continue to carry with us and the new narratives we’ve adopted. “With a new wave of emigration from Lebanon in the last two years due to socioeconomic collapse, those who choose to return and remain, like myself, are becoming more of an anomaly,” says host Angela Brussel, a journalist and the founder of multimedia platform Nour Jan Presents, which takes ethnographic deep dives into different diaspora communities. “This trilogy ‘The Diaspora Returns’ was brought to life in collaboration with Angela Brussel of Nour Jan Presents.”
The Sound of Saudi
Jeddah – 2024
The Sound of Saudi is a three-part documentary series tracing the evolution of Saudi Arabia’s contemporary music scene—past, present, and future. From the early underground movements that flourished before the rise of the internet, to the genre-bending experimentation shaping today’s sonic identity, the series unpacks how artists, producers, and industry voices are navigating and defining a rapidly transforming cultural landscape. As hip hop, electronic, and alternative sounds emerge into the mainstream, the trilogy also considers what lies ahead for a generation of artists in flux. The Sound of Saudi was produced in collaboration with Womena, a creative platform spotlighting untold stories from the region.
